Some of the tents are very cheap in spite of the fact that they are so big in size while other tents are very costly notwithstanding their small size. All that matters is that the materials that are used to make the tents are quality materials. The stability of the tents depends highly on the fabric or more commonly known as the skin of the tent. Each tent is designed for a particular weather and we should be very careful in selecting a tent that it suits our bill.

Nylon has a very low co efficient of friction which makes its surface very soft and easy to handle. Nylon is very resistant to water as well as to some chemicals. One of the disadvantages of nylon is the lack of strength against strong forces such as wind.
